All designs are the creative vision of milliner, Emily Clark. With a familial tradition of sewing, Emily developed an early affinity for textiles and fashion. She has a degree in Costume and Textile History from Cornell University in New York. She began her millinery studies at the London College of Fashion. Since then, she has woked as a theatrical milliner for the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago and the Santa Fe Opera in New Mexico. In May 2007, Emily began working for Philip Treacy, a position that has given her invaluable insight and experience in the world of couture millinery.
Emily has a multi-disciplinary approach to millinery, combining the traditional with new methods and materials. She is particularly interested in the handmade crafts movement and supports sustainable fashion and eco-friendly businesss practices. Her collections are an exploration of colour, texture and form. Evocative of nature and the exotic, each hat celebrates light and energy, rhythm and flow while balancing organic and geometric form. This is fashion walking to a different beat.
